Welcome back to another informative podcast with CleverBooks. You will get a great introduction on how to wow students with AR in K12 Education. We will explore the use of EdTech tools, such as immersive Augmented Reality, in K-12 education. Joining us today is Ălvaro Yugueros, a primary education teacher, specialist in physical education.
He has been working with infant and primary school students (3-12 years old) for 13 years in different schools, although the last 5 years he has developed his work in the CEIP Arcipreste de Hita school in the village of El Espinar (Spain).
He is the coordinator in Spain of the Pilot 2 of the ARETE project whose objective is to investigate the impact of AR technologies on the learning and retention of STEM skills. ARETE Pilot 2 investigates the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies on STEM skills learning and retention. To study whether AR helps students to acquire STEM skills and retain the complex information for longer, ARETE Pilot 2 will test two immersive AR applications for learning Geography and Geometry, provided by CleverBooks.Â
He defends the use of new technologies at school and, whenever possible, includes them in his lessons.
