Apple Distinguished School
Chad Lewis has been the director of technology at Tampa Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida since August of 2010. He oversees all facets of technology at the school, from network infrastructure to educational technology and training. In addition to being responsible for the school’s 1:1 iPad initiative, Mr. Lewis designed and supervised the implementation of the school’s Active Learning Environment (ALEs) classroom design.
In 2016, Mr. Lewis won the Tampa Bay Business Journal's Nonprofit CIO of the Year Award and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum’s Industry Achievement Award for Technologist of the Year. Prior to his role at Tampa Preparatory School, Mr. Lewis was Director of Technology at All Saints’ Academy and a Polk County School Board Network Manager. He holds an MBA with a focus on Information Technology Management, is a graduate of the Ohio State University, and a U.S. Army veteran.
In the podcast we discuss education, comparing now and then. Then we have a deep dive into the landscape of education for the USA. Chad also shares some tips and links and the case on how Virtual Reality was implemented in his school.
