Welcome back to another informative podcast with CleverBooks. We will explore the use of EdTech tools, such as immersive Augmented Reality, in K-12 education. Joining us today is Anita Šimac, a mathematics teacher in a lower secondary school called Osnovna škola Petra Preradovića. The school is located in the beautiful coastal town of Zadar in Croatia.
She is an avid EdTech. Anita is always looking for new ways to improve her skills and knowledge. Not only is she a Wakelet ambassador and a Micrososft Innovative Expert, because STEM is her area of expertise she has been a Scientix ambassador for Croatia since 2016.
It is her belief that the multidisciplinary approach to teaching is the best way to integrate education into a unit by connecting many subjects. It empowers students and this is one of the reasons she is a National Geographic Certified Educator and loves being involved in projects.
Anita believes that AR technology enhances teaching and learning by adding more contextual experiences and stimulating interest and discussion in the classroom.
